O’Brien, who was formerly operations director with Cisco Capital and had spent time working with Invigors as an associate, said: “Now is the time to position the business in Ireland for its next stage of growth.

“The European captive and vendor markets are facing major challenges driven by technology and the revolution in financial services, in addition to the economic and political upheavals currently taking place.”

During 17 years at Cisco Capital, O’Brien project managed the establishment and development of its captive infrastructure in more than 20 countries and was a board member on 10 of Cisco’s captives.

Chris Boobyer, senior partner at Invigors, said: “Kieran’s wealth of experience and expertise in captive and vendor finance operations has proved to be an asset to the business and our clients.

“We are delighted to recognise this through his appointment as network member for Ireland and believe that he will continue to add strength and depth to our capabilities here in EMEA as well as across the wider Alta Group.”
