James George Recruitment has partnered with the Asset Finance subsidiary of a prestigious Bank in their search for an Auditor who is able to manage the auditing function or Block Discounting customers. This will be done by physical visits and remotely via electronic means, ensuring balances on purchased agreements are sufficient to maintain security cover to an agreed level and to monitor the provision of additional agreements where shortfalls occur.

Key relationships will be with Block Discounting customers, vendors, and other financial institutions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Conduct reviews by visits, or electronically, at an agreed frequency relevant to the client.
• To report immediately any significant change in position of the company regarding arrears trends or security cover.
• To interrogate client systems and records to ensure agreements sold to the company are live and good, in order to calculate whether the cover ratio is within the set parameters.
• To assess and quantify shortfalls in security cover.
• To instruct the client promptly of any requirement for replacement cover.
• To liaise with colleagues in monitoring the receipt of any requested replacement paper.
• Chase outstanding security of replacement paper if necessary.
• To implement anti money laundering and KYC procedures laid down by the company.
• Maintain reporting on reviews in accordance with agreed frequency.
• To report generally on individual clients when necessary, from information gathered during customer visits or other contact.
• Report all issues of regulatory concern to the Block Discounting Director/ Bank Legal & Compliance Director.
• Communicate and escalate potential issues/risks in a prompt and effective manner.

Experience

Experience of asset finance in a wide range of market areas:

• Extensive experience and knowledge of auditing practices
• Experience of underwriting and general credit policies
• Experience in the management of other members of staff
• Knowledge and understanding of current Consumer Credit Act legislation, Data Protection laws, Anti Money Laundering and KYC

Additional Information specific to role:

• Able to work extended hours when required
• Must have clean or near clean driving license
