Our client an international lessor for whom we have placed a number of staff not only in the UK but also in western europe are seeking to hire a Territory Manager to join their high performing construction finance business unit.
Your role will be to implement a business development strategy to achieve volume, margin, fee income and also finance penetration levels working with its strategic partners for the financing of both heavy and compact construction assets.
You will take over a high performing sales area encompassing all of the South East & London , the Northern Home Counties and the Eastern Thames Valley that is writing in excess of £40m per annum of originations.
You will manage both key customers, where exposures can be to £10m or more and dealer relationships to achieve a variety of targets as outlined above working pro-actively and effectively to ensure the most effective use of point of sale finance.
You can expect to engage with wide variety of stakeholders from:
- training dealer sales people to use finance early and effectively.
- negotiating with C level decision makers at customers.
- building a strategy for more effective use of finance with sales leaders & business leaders at dealer partners.
- working with your support colleagues in credit , operations , and as necessary other departments to get deals executed in the most efficient and effective manner.
To apply you must have a successful sales background of selling finance & leasing solutions and managing a credit portfolio through a dealer network in financing equipment.
Our preferred applicant will have experience of the construction asset sector. Failing this other hard asset experience will be actively considered.
You must have strong sales training and efficient territory management experience and possess well developed sales and negotiation skills.
You will possess strong relationship building and relationship management experience and an ability to cope , at times with pressure.
You must be able to interpret financial information and have the skills to write credit papers of a standard to submit to committee level.
Finally you will be a tenacious target driven individual who thrives on over achieving objectives but goes about your role not only with real determination but also with a sense of humour but also be someone who is a team player.
