Chief technology officers of auto and equipment finance seeking to stay up-to-date with the latest fintech solutions to incorporate into their technology stack now have a community where they can share their experiences about emerging technologies and learn about the latest solutions which are under development.

“Gone are the days when auto and equipment finance technologists just have to choose between a dozen or so end-to-end solutions” said Edward Peck, CEO of Asset Finance Connect. “Increasingly we are seeing finance providers seeking to incorporate the best point solutions into their technology and perhaps as significantly the traditional end-to-end providers, whose systems form the backbone of their operations, advising their clients that this is the best way forward for them. This represents a significant increase in the demands on CTOs as they make their selections – but the potential rewards are huge for those who get it right.”

The Asset Finance Connect CTO forum will be holding its first meeting in a private full day workshop at the Asset Finance Connect Conference in London on 5th December. The forum will help CTOs understand key trends, challenges and technologies as the range and complexity of solutions available to the auto and equipment finance market expands. Meetings will help members to identify best use cases, and to understand and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of emerging technologies for the auto and equipment finance market.

“Prior to the workshop we will hold short one-to-one remote meetings with each participant to identify the trends, challenges and technologies on which the community will focus. Participants’ responses will focus discussions during the day.” Said Peter Hunt, chief operating officer at Finativ. “It will be interesting to see which technologies participants see as the most important for the industry right now – and what their concerns are about implementing solutions that use them.”.

“The first CTO roundtable is one of a number of new developments Asset Finance Connect have put in place to develop specialist communities within the auto and equipment finance community which help will provide participants to get value from meeting their peers in the industry, to hear what’s on their minds, and to share their expertise in a confidential and supportive group of like-minded specialists. We hope that we will spark new ideas in these communities that will deliver better products, better customer experience and better meet customer needs. That’s got to be a good thing.” said Edward Peck.
