Our client a leading asset financier for whom we have successful sourced several broker managers for their mid ticket and flow business units are seeking to hire an additional broker manager to join their highly successful flow broker unit.

The flow unit focusses on broker sourced business for individual transactions of up to £500,000 in size across both hard and soft assets.

You will inherit and manage a highly successful sales area of the south of the country covering a region from South Wales across to Kent encompassing all of Central Southern England, Thames Valley and the Home Counties South & North up into parts of East Anglia.

This region is a very high performing one delivering a large volume of business today . Your objective is build on existing success achieving very reasonable growth in volumes and selling out to brokers at very competitive rates. We will be happy to disclose both the volume and margin targets for both hard assets to applicants that we are willing to put forward for the position.

Suffice to say you will be selling a class leading service where close to 100% of proposals are credit decisioned with 4 hours and brokers are paid the same day as all documentation is completed.

  • Achieving quarterly and annual volume requirements
  • Ensuring our client meets its rate and margin requirements
  • Completing broker reviews in line with our clients policy
  • Ensure our client maintains its market reputation for Customer Service Excellence
  • Ensure you operate with integrity in the market at all times
  • Monitoring the market for changes in terms of rate and credit appetite
  • Actively managing existing broker relationships and identify new opportunities

Candidate Profile

To apply for this position you must:

  • Be a broker manager today operating in the business to business asset finance sector. ( this is a pre-requisite , please do not apply if you do not have experience as a B2B centric broker manager )
  • Live on the sales area
  • Be willing and able to work from home
  • Be self managing and self motivated
  • Be willing to travel extensively to fulfil the role and be willing to attend our clients head office occasionally as needed.
  • Have a record of real success as a broker and be willing to share reasonable details of your success at interview
  • Have a genuine depth of demonstrable broker relationships.
  • Have experience of hard assets and ideally also soft assets but if your experience is of hard assets only but you meet the other requirements please do apply.
  • Have a stable work record

In addition you will possess the following:

  • Understanding of the end to end Asset Finance process from enquiry to payout
  • A strong customer service focus
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team as the business requires
  • An understanding of regulatory requirements including KYC/AML and FCA Regulations.
  • Knowledge of underwriting / credit with ability to review credit reports and balance sheets
  • Prior experience of building a business with a keen knowledge of the risk / reward margin
